BREAKING: Only 58 Days Into the 2022 Campaign, Fmr Congressman Bruce Poliquin Raises More Than $880,000 for Race

Mainers are coming together to support Poliquin in this new race for Congress

ORRINGTON, ME – On August 4, former Congressman Bruce Poliquin announced he will seek Maine’s rural 2nd Congressional District seat again. He served the people of Maine in the U.S. House during 2015-18. Only 58 days into the campaign, on the September 30 Federal Election Commission fundraising report deadline, Poliquin has already shown his campaign is resonating.

Only 58 days after announcing his new campaign, the Bruce Poliquin for Congress campaign committee raised nearly $900,000 as of September 30.

The campaign expects to report over $875,000 cash-on-hand. The total includes contributions from every county in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.

“As I said when getting into this race, our nation is in trouble. Politicians like Jared Golden are empowering people like Nancy Pelosi and the extreme left in taking America down the wrong path. The disaster in Afghanistan, the ongoing crisis on our southern border, inflation squeezing family budgets, and the rapid expansion of big government and higher debt is leaving Mainers crying out for a different course. Day One I will bring Maine common sense back to Washington,” said Poliquin.

“I was born and raised in Central Maine.  I earned scholarships and worked hard to attend college – painting metal roofs, digging sewer lines, and working the night shift at the former Wyandotte Spinning Mill in Sidney.  I understand the meaning of hard work and the dignity of earning a paycheck. I’ll work tirelessly to ensure everyone gets a fair shake, with a hand-up and not just a hand-out,” Poliquin added.

With redistricting complete, and the 2nd Congressional District adding communities within the County in which Bruce was born and raised, the campaign will continue building the infrastructure needed to reach every concerned Mainer who seeks change.
